A total of 66 self-employed and low-wage earners received various livelihood packages under the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood Program during a turnover ceremony at Brgy. Calingatan, Mataasnakahoy, Batangas.
In her message, DOLE IV-A Batangas Provincial Office Director Predelma Tan said that the provision of the livelihood packages is one of the programs of the Department in its mission of decent and productive employment for Filipinos.

“Sana po, palaguin natin dahil hindi din po biro ang halaga na binitawan at pinagkatiwala po sa inyo. Ito naman po ang pinaka layunin ng programa – ang makatulong sa lahat ng mga walang kakayanan makapagsimula ulit at hindi sapat ang kinikita. Kayo po ay unang batch pa lang, at nakakatuwa pong makita kayong lahat na masayang tatanggap ng mga ito. Nawa’y makatulong po ito sa inyong pamilya at sana mapagyaman nga po natin ito,’’ she remarked.
Furthermore, Director Tan also extended her gratitude to the CWS Partylist for their continued support and assistance to the beneficiaries and to the DOLE during the release of the packages.

“Kami po sa DOLE ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng naging parte para maging posible ang lahat ng ito, at sa patuloy na pagtangkilik sa aming programa,” Director Tan uttered.
The beneficiaries received rice retail, manicure-pedicure, sewing machine, suman making, kalamay making packages which will serve as their starter kits in growing the business that they chose to avail under the program. Each of the packages include raw materials, tools, and supplies.

Ms. Salvacion Kalalo, DILP focal person and Livelihood Development Specialists, Ms. Rozil Regodos and Mr. Robert Rodelas, with TUPAD Coordinator, Ms. Patricia Mae Bilog also spearheaded the implementation and turnover of the packages to the beneficiaries. The DOLE personnel will also conduct the monitoring of the livelihood packages to ensure the continued progress and growth of the turned over packages.
