The Tanauan City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Batangas Provincial Office, successfully conducted its first official activity, a Coastal Clean-Up, at Lakeshore, Brgy. Gonzales, Tanauan City, Batangas, on December 5.

A total of 70 volunteers, composed of TIPC Officers, DOLE-BPO employees, private sector representatives from companies within Tanauan City, and employees of the local government unit of Tanauan City.

For DOLE Provincial Director Predelma Tan, the activity sets as a kick-off to more worthwhile projects of the Council which aims to engage more companies in the future.

According to Ms. Angelica Caravana, Board of Director of the Tanauan City TIPC, the activity was a humbling experience of creating a meaningful act for the welfare of the people in the locality where their company is situated.
